The steady rise of experience stores

We regularly write about the increasing importance of ‘experiential’ stores to compensate and compete with online convenience (herehere, or here). Over the last years we only keep seeing more and more manifestations of this trend and while we can’t share all of what we find, this new flagship store by Gentle Monster deserves mention. The sunglasses brand is a big player in experiential art stores and just opened its biggest store yet in Beijing. Check out the pictures here

Ps: We’re not exaggerating about the ‘big player’ thing, they have one store with a surreal robot theme, a store with a huge pile of dirt in the middle, an underwater store, something which looks like a laundromat and one where it looks like they have actual horses inside. check out their other stores: here.
