As human species, we’re aiming to make sense of the world around us. And as our world has become increasingly complex we fail short in doing so. That’s why we cherish projects that aim to help us understand the world around us just a little better. Like The Search for 100 people, which is on a mission to find 100 people that represent the other 7.5 billion of us. In one A4 they give an idea with whom we’re living on earth. How many of those 100 people speak a certain language, are male, European or able to read?
By framing the information in such a way it’s easier for people to understand how big some differences are. For example, what struck us is the fact that 11 people are undernourished, however, double the amount are overweight!
